“Quality education is an economic elevator”: U.S. Senate Candidate Karishma Manzur Launches education platform
EXETER, NH – (December 3, 2025) Today, U.S. Senate Candidate Karishma Manzur launched her public education platform to invest in quality public education for all Granite Staters.
The education platform was created in conjunction with public school teachers, who have decades of experience in classrooms and administrative offices, with knowledge not only of the intricacies of public education but also of the generational damage caused by a lack of investment.
“Our students deserve quality education. The state and federal governments must contribute their fair share to ease the burden on local property owners. Quality public education, community colleges, and trade schools open pathways to higher earnings and better health,” said Manzur. “Our students will become the teachers, police officers, carpenters, nurses, and small-business owners who keep our communities strong. When we invest in children and youth, we invest in our shared future.”
The public education platform includes:
Universal childcare;
Fully fund quality public education, from pre-K through Grade 12, community colleges, and public universities;
Grow our skilled workforce for good-paying careers by expanding apprenticeships, job-training programs, and access to community colleges;
Support inclusive and accessible education policies;
Expand and strengthen the Child Tax Credit;
Oppose federal school voucher bills.
"We support Karishma Manzur for the U.S. Senate because she values and understands the importance of public education in N.H,” said Wendy and Will Thomas, retired educators who contributed to the plan. “Her education platform speaks to the necessity of fully funding public education in N.H., from pre-K through high school, as well as our community colleges and public universities. As retired educators in Manchester, N.H., we consider our public schools and community libraries to be two of the cornerstones of our democracy."
“It's about time to stop the practice of burdening towns and residents with the vicious cycle of underfunded public schools and ever-increasing property taxes,” said Rep. Tony Caplan. “As a veteran public school educator, I've seen firsthand the injustice of poor towns having higher tax burdens than rich towns to maintain level-funded schools and the real difference that makes in educational outcomes.”
