Karishma Manzur Receives 2026 Moms Demand Action Gun Sense Candidate Distinction
EXETER, NH — July 15, 2026 — Karishma Manzur, candidate for U.S. Senate, has received the 2026 Gun Sense Candidate distinction from Moms Demand Action, the national grassroots movement advocating for policies to reduce gun violence and improve public safety. The distinction recognizes candidates who demonstrate a commitment to advancing evidence-based measures to help protect communities from gun violence.
“Too many families are suffering unimaginable pain as we lose over 20,000 Americans to firearm homicide every year, another 20,000 to firearm suicide, and thousands more to unintentional shootings,” said Manzur. “As I travel across New Hampshire, I've yet to meet anyone who isn't alarmed that gun violence is now the leading cause of death for America's children and teens. This is a public health issue, and we have a responsibility to act.”
"As a mother, receiving the Gun Sense Candidate distinction is especially meaningful," Manzur continued. "Every parent wants their child to come home safely at the end of the day. We can respect the rights of responsible gun owners while advancing practical solutions that make our schools, neighborhoods, and communities safer.”
The recognition comes as public safety remains a key issue in the 2026 U.S. Senate race. Manzur said she will continue advocating for policies that promote responsible gun ownership, expand background checks to include private sales, provide firearm safety and responsibility training, keep guns out of the hands of people who pose a danger to themselves or others, and reduce gun violence while respecting constitutional rights.
