Third Act Endorses Karishma Manzur for U.S. Senate,Citing Her Commitment to Democracy and Climate Action

EXETER, N.H. (July 29, 2026) —  Third Act, a national grassroots organization of Americans over 60 dedicated to protecting democracy and confronting climate change, has endorsed Karishma Manzur in her campaign for the U.S. Senate.

Highlighting why the organization chose to endorse Manzur, Third Act stated:

“Karishma's promise to refuse donations from fossil fuel corporations, to promote renewable energy, and to bring renewable energy jobs into the state aligns with our vision. Karishma is committed to restoring our democracy, restoring the middle class, and protecting our constitutional rights. As elders, we want to leave this planet sustainable and our democracy strong for future generations.”

Welcoming the endorsement, Manzur responded:

“I am immensely honored to receive Third Act's endorsement. This is a generation whose courage helped advance civil rights, women's equality, and environmental stewardship in America. The Third Act members understand that protecting our planet means electing leaders who answer to the people, not wealthy special interests.

As a scientist and environmentalist, I know the science is clear. We are currently on track for roughly a 3°C increase in average temperature within our children's lifetime. That means rising seas threatening coastal communities, extreme heat, worsening food and water insecurity, and irreversible damage to ecosystems. Here in New Hampshire, we’re already seeing the consequences: more frequent flooding in Hampton, worsening droughts affecting communities like Exeter, and the looming loss of the iconic spruce and fir forests of the White Mountains.

We cannot afford to delay action.

I am honored to stand alongside these advocates and fight for a future where our children and grandchildren can inherit a healthy planet, a stronger democracy, and an economy that works for everyone.”

Manzur’s campaign is centered on confronting climate change, strengthening democracy, and building an economy that works for working families. A scientist, peace activist, and grassroots candidate, Manzur has pledged to invest in clean energy, hold corporate polluters accountable, and reduce the influence of dark money in politics to give power back to the people.
