Karishma Manzur Submits Resolutions to NH Democratic Party to Limit Dark Money and Foreign-Aligned Influence in Primary Elections
MANCHESTER, NH – U.S. Senate candidate Karishma Manzur formally submitted two resolutions to the New Hampshire Democratic Party (NHDP) Resolutions Committee ahead of the 2026 State Convention, calling for stronger action to eliminate corporate PAC money, dark money, and foreign-aligned special interest influence in Democratic primary elections.
The first resolution, “Protect Integrity and Transparency in Financing of NH Democratic Party Primary Elections,” calls on Democratic candidates to reject support from corporate PACs, super PACs, and leadership PACs, and urges the NHDP to implement enforceable transparency measures for the 2026 primary cycle.
The second resolution, “Limit the Influence of Foreign-Aligned Special Interest Money in NH Democratic Party Primary Elections,” specifically addresses the growing role of outside spending by foreign-aligned lobbying groups in Democratic primaries and calls on candidates to refuse such support while strengthening disclosure and accountability measures.
In the 2024 cycle, outside groups spent over $100 million in Democratic primaries, highlighting the growing role of big money in politics.
“New Hampshire voters are demanding elections that are decided by them and them alone, not billionaires, corporations, or outside lobbying groups,” said Manzur. “These resolutions will restore transparency and trust in our democracy and ensure candidates are accountable to their communities, not to special interests.”
This marks the first time a U.S. Senate candidate in New Hampshire has taken this bold step in restoring integrity in the election process.
“Unchecked money in politics at home and unchecked military power abroad are deeply connected. Both silence everyday people and prioritize power over human life,” said Manzur.
Both resolutions propose that the NH Democratic Party establish clear, enforceable rules requiring candidates to reject outside spending from corporate PACs, super PACs, and foreign-aligned organizations, and to provide regular public reporting on progress toward eliminating such influence in primary elections.
Manzur’s campaign has emphasized reducing the role of money in politics and increasing transparency as part of a broader platform focused on economic justice, accountability, and redirecting public resources toward domestic needs.
The resolutions were submitted on April 15, 2026, and are expected to be considered by delegates at the upcoming NHDP Convention.
