Letter: Karishma for U.S. Senate — she’s for real

Concord Monitor | LTE by Donna Baker-Hartwell

For much too long, party politics has left me feeling very depressed. I have been voting for the better of two evils most of my life. Both parties are embedded with AIPAC donations, leaving candidates beholden to powerful corporations. The time has come to get corporate money out of our elections. The time has come to elect real people with integrity and compassion for others.

Karishma Manzur, a candidate for U.S. Senate, is different from Chris Papas or John Sununu. She promises not to accept AIPAC donations. She promises to stand up for people and work to strengthen our communities.

She cares deeply for the hard working people in New Hampshire, promises to raise the minimum wage and work to restore the middle class. She believes that every American deserves to make a living wage and have health care. She believes in investing in building a grid powered by renewable energy. Critics will say that it can’t be done because it costs too much! However, Karishma has a plan and her plan will save us money!

Finally, we have a candidate who aligns with my values. I urge New Hampshire voters whether you are a Republican, Democrat, Independent or a depressed dropout to go to her campaign website, karishmaforsenate.com. She’s for real!
