U.S. Senate Candidate Karishma Manzur’s Statement on Nuclear-Armed United States and Israel Threatening a Non-Nuclear Iran

EXETER, NH (February 25, 2026) – Once again, Benjamin Netanyahu is dictating U.S. foreign policy, Donald Trump is acting like a mad king, and Congress is shamefully failing to stop two war criminals.

Below is U.S. Senate Candidate Karishma Manzur’s statement:

For over three decades, Benjamin Netanyahu has portrayed Iran as perpetually on the brink of possessing a nuclear weapon, repeatedly shifting the timeline from weeks to months while pressing the United States toward military action.

Yet American intelligence assessments suggest that Iran is not building a nuclear weapon and does not pose an imminent threat.

Our foreign policy must be guided by American intelligence, American interests, and the Constitution. When will we act as a sovereign nation instead of bending to the political agenda of a war criminal?

Donald Trump is continuing to recklessly position the U.S. military for potential strikes on Iran while trying to bypass Congress and defy the War Powers Resolution. His erratic actions and nonsensical comments make him a national security threat.

Meanwhile, Congress is repeating the failures of last summer and failing to perform its constitutional duty to stop the impending war crimes of two nuclear-armed nations against a non-nuclear Iran.

I commend Reps. Ro Khanna and Thomas Massie for leading the charge on a War Powers Resolution. When the vote occurs, members of Congress from both parties must vote to prevent Trump from dragging our country into another reckless, dangerous, and endless war.

From a scientific perspective, military strikes on nuclear facilities can create a serious risk of uncontrolled radioactive release that could harm both people and the environment.

From an economic perspective, Americans are tired of endless wars that drain our tax dollars while our roads crumble, childcare costs skyrocket, and working families struggle to afford housing. Every bomb dropped overseas is money not invested in our own communities.

We must engage in dialogue and diplomacy to ensure peace and stability. It’s time to end endless wars once and for all.
