U.S. Senate Candidate Karishma Manzur Rallies with New Hampshire Communities Against ICE
Manzur is the only candidate in the race to consistently call for abolishing ICE
EXETER, NH (February 3, 2026) – U.S. Senate candidate Karishma Manzur joined Granite Staters across New Hampshire over the last few weeks to protest what she describes as ICE’s rogue, violent, and unconstitutional acts. Manzur attended demonstrations in Manchester, Brentwood, Merrimack, and Concord, and testified against ICE as the agency seeks contracts to build detention facilities and use jails in New Hampshire. She stood front and center with Granite Staters calling for an end to ICE’s lawlessness.
“I’ve heard from families living in fear,” said Manzur at the ICE Out for Good Rally at the New Hampshire State House. “We’re seeing masked agents snatching people from their homes, cars, schools, and even their churches. We’ve seen communities terrorized. American citizens have been killed. People are rightfully concerned.”
Manzur has been a vocal critic of ICE’s conduct nationwide, citing deaths in detention centers and the agency’s role in family separation. She argues that both Democratic and Republican leaders have failed to provide oversight or accountability.
“Too many politicians do not have the backbone to stand up to Trump and stop his paramilitary force,” Manzur said. “Some, including Congressman Chris Pappas, have even voted for bills that praised ICE and expanded ICE’s power. When institutions fail to protect democracy, I stand with the people to fight for a better future.”
Manzur has been firm in her principled stance on human rights and is the only candidate in the race who has consistently called to abolish ICE, “a rogue agency” created in 2003. As U.S. Senator, she would work to repeal ICE’s multi-year $75 billion funding and replace it with a humane immigration enforcement system under the Department of Justice, with strict oversight, transparency, and civil rights protections.
Manzur also supports calls from New Hampshire human rights organizations to:
Demand accountability from the Department of Homeland Security, including the resignation or impeachment of DHS Secretary Kristi Noem.
Release all children currently held in ICE custody and permanently end family separation.
End state and local participation in ICE’s 287(g) agreements.
Prohibit the use of New Hampshire jails and prisons for immigration detention.
Manzur continues to work with nonprofit organizations, elected officials, and community members to oppose what she warns is a growing threat to democratic norms.
“When they come for one of us, they come for all of us,” Manzur said. “Solidarity has no borders.”
